I’ve never been a great lover of Maximo Park and, whilst ‘A Certain Trigger’ was a decent enough album, there were a whole lot more better ones that received less acclaim. 2009’s ‘Quicken The Heart’ was a tired and dull album and should have marked the end of the band. Not so. Just out is their fourth album ‘The National Health’ and I like it…a lot. It’s totally rejuvenated, sound fresh, contains some genuinely great songs and is their best album ever for me, long may they continue. Title track herewith to send you into the week.
