On Tuesday Edinburgh’s heart on their sleeve indie-folk-outfit Frightened Rabbit announced their new EP ‘State Hospital’, alongside a video which you can drink in below. Apparently these fine chaps are working on a new album for early in 2013 too.

‘State Hospital’ is ripe with dark brutal imagery of domestic abuse, council estates and the NHS? it’s all delivered with Frabbits typical driving melodic intent.

The video was directed by the talented chaps at Handheld Cine Club. According to the band’s vocalist Scott “It’s a stark affair at points, but we reckon it fits the song really beautifully.” Frightened Rabbit are confirmed to support Biffy Clyro at the Itunes festival and have slated a run of dates of Ireland and the UK see those in full below.
