Draw Me Stories offer two new tracks as teaser for Debut LP & SWN performance

To celebrate their appearance at Cardiff’s Swn Festival, Draw Me Stories are offering two tracks from their forthcoming album – Cocoon Machina – for free. This will be first ‘official’ taster (after a track squeezed onto BBC radio Wales a few months back!). Heralding a new direction for the folk/jazz tinged three piece these new songs show a more experimental edge with textures of electronica and dub step woven with vocal interplay and more traditional instrumentation, you can stream and download both tracks by visiting http://drawmestories.bandcamp.com between Wednesday 17th and Sunday 21st October (the duration of the festival).

Draw Me Stories’ first studio album, Cocoon Machina, will be released this winter on Glasstone Records. Recorded at Musicbox Studios, Cardiff, the album is the band’s first time working with producer/engineer, Charlie Francis (REM, Turin Brakes, Future of the Left) . Cocoon Machina is expansive, genre-spanning and refreshingly eccentric. While many artists choose to re-record their early releases for their debut record, Draw Me Stories decided ambitiously to write the whole album from scratch in 2011. To them, it feels like a second album; “a sort of reinvention”.
