Track of the Day #183 : Feldspar – The Flat And Paper Sky

Something warming this winter day from Feldspar and their track ‘The Flat and Paper Sky’ a haunting a capella track that’s touching and reminds one of early Fleet Foxes, it’s the title track to their second EP which launched on the 3rd December. The video, directed by North London filmmaker Craig Heathcote, captures unusual events occurring in everyday environments. Here’s what their press has to say about it:

“The video focuses on the human face and explores the range of emotions that can be expressed without words, without ‘explanation’. Each character has a different story – the old woman being tattooed in a church, the distracted parents ignoring their excited child, the couple cutting paper shapes. Each story seems instantly recognizable, but also mysterious. It is this mystery that connects them all and gives them their humanity.”
