And so here is my first monthly edition of round ups, or to be more precise a summary, of the tunes and artists that have floated my boat over the last four weeks.

A selection that includes abstract hybrid Jazz; analog electronica from the perimeters of the cosmos; Malian calls for peace; accordion Latin blues; exalted Cope power pop; the Spanish underground; vibraphone narrated walks, and sketches from Madrid. 

Scurrying and exploring the more interesting and adventurous reaches of  both old and new, from the African continent to outer space,I will bring some obscure – and not so obscure – delights to your attention in the vain hope that it will support the cause of good music.
