Preaching From The Pews: Haiku Salut

Finding a home on celebrated indie-pop Club night and record label How Does it Feel to be Loved, Derbyshire trio Haiku Salut have made first single ‘Los Elefantes’ available for free download on their soundcloud page

With Melodicas, accordions and piano curling around looped drums and synths its easy to see why the band have been tarred with the  ‘Folktronica’ brush but for fans of Yann Tiersen and The Album Leaf, forthcoming album ‘Tricolore’ (out March 25th) will be an essential listen.

The band are currently on tour in Europe and you can catch them on these dates

March 2 – La Taverne des Gaulois, Saint Laurent Blangy, France
March 3 – Le Couleur Café, Arras, France
March 4 – Chaff , Brussells, Belgium
March 5 – Le Stakhanov, Nantes, France
March 7 – Le Comedia, Lille, France
March 9 – Union Chapel, London, free Daylight Music show
March 23 – The Firebug, Leicester
March 28 – Buffalo Bar, London, album launch party
April 13 – Deda, Derby
April 27 – Chameleon Arts Cafe, Nottingham
May 4 – Oddbox Weekender, London
May 5 – Sounds From The Other City, Manchester

Perfect for the last few weeks of winter and the (hopeful) haze of summer ‘Los Elefantes’ is a beautiful taster of whats to come from Haiku Salut. in the meantime check out the stunning video for the single here
