Wolf People will return with their new album ‘Fain‘ due for release on 29th April 2013. It will be released on the Jagjaguwar label and be preceded by a brand new single ‘All Returns‘ on the 15th April.
The album was recorded in an isolated house in the Yorkshire Dales. This time around it’s reported to be based more on traditional English and Scottish folk melodies than anything they’ve previously done, whilst still retaining their fuzz-rock sound. They cite bands like Groundhogs, Dark, Mighty Baby and Peter Green’s Fleetwood Mac along with the 60s revival folk of Fairport Convention, Nic Jones, and Trees as inspiration. Additionally they have looked towards Scandinavian’s rich psychedelic tradition both new and old.

Jace Lasek (Besnard Lakes) also recorded backing vocals in Vancouver remotely for the single.
