Miles Kane has been a prominent figure on the indie scene for a while now, although his output has been more than dubious. The Rascals were an indie fodder band who rightly achieved very little success before disbanding and The Last Shadow Puppets amalgam with Alex Turner was pure gimmickry that fooled the masses, but not me. As a result of the above, I didn’t bother to check out his solo album in 2011, but as a result of his new EP, I might just do so now. The EP is called ‘Give Up’ and it’s upbeat high spirited stuff that is highly listenable. The title track from same sits here.
