A new album by Depeche Mode doesn’t cause too much stir these days I guess but their thirteenth one is out today and is really quite good. It’s called ‘Delta Machine’ and is a competent and interesting album. Perhaps a little more moody and downbeat than they will be remembered for, but it serves them well. Yes it sounds dated, which makes it very relevant in the current eighties retro scene and a darn sight better than most of their contemporaries.
