Princess Chelsea slates new single ‘We’re So Lost’ & ALT-J Supports

Coinciding with her guest slot on the May ALT-J tour, New Zealand’s noir pop queen Princess Chelsea releases the first single from her forthcoming second album. ‘We’re So Lost’ will be released digitally and on vinyl on May 20th on Lil’ Chief Records/Cargo.A rather delightful bittersweet fairytale pop song listen to it here: http://lilchiefrecords.com/epk/princess-chelsea/

This will be the first new material the New Zealand artist’s long-time fans have heard from her since 2011, when ‘Lil Golden Book’ was released (2012 in the UK).
The new album, is due later this year and dubbed ‘The Great Cybernetic Depression’, a kind of down buzz concept album (!), is set a few years into the future when our obsession with technology has lead to a social decline. It promises “a little more electronica than Lil’ Golden Book”.

Since her singleThe Cigarette Duet first blew up online – 7,745,221 views to date! – a rumble around PRINCESS CHELSEA has grown to a veritable storm and her debut album ‘Lil Golden Book’ drew wide acclaim.

To celebrate the release, Chelsea will be making her way from New Zealand to play the Alt-J dates and also a series of intimate headline shows in May.
