Track Of The Day #258: The French Electric – Pharaoh

The French Electric released a brand new single Pharaoh this week and it’s Friday’s rollicking TOTD! A gloom laden slab of new wave replete with thunderous drums, sinuous axe wielding, flecked with the urgently dystopian baritone of Simon Board. It sounds like the soundtrack to oblivion, hinting at both the melodic groove of Sister’s of Mercy and Magazine‘s ‘Shot By Both Sides’.

The digital download is available now through Liquid Release, but the track is available to download free for a limited time only through the bands Facebook page. Watch the video below too, happy Friday!
