Track Of The Day #266: Cold War Kids – Bottled Affection

I remember hearing ‘Hang Me Up To Dry’ back in 2007, by Cold War Kids and thinking here’s a band with something about them and sounding just a bit unorthodox. The accompanying album wasn’t remarkable and their output since also not earth shattering. So what about their fourth album, ‘Dear Miss Lonelyhearts’ which is just out? Well they have retained that quirkiness and it makes for a very interesting LP, with real depth and thoughtfulness. Well worth a listen me thinks.
