Track Of The Day #328: Die! Die! Die! – Twitching Sunshine

Dunedin’s [NZ] Die! Die! Die! fire off a scorching propulsive missile with ‘Twitching Sunshine’ a bludgeoning Exocet entwined of drums, scalpel like guitar lines, sickly sweet female backing vocals. Loaded at its eye with a Dead Kennedy’s-esque sneer, it’s the sound of contorting and struggling to break free from the oppressive heat of the big red burning ball in the summer sky. Ten years of furious live shows, line up changes and label switches clearly haven’t dimmed their “singular purpose; to release thought-provoking, head-snapping, agit-pop songs into the world.”

Die! Die! Die!’s fourth album ‘Harmony’ is available now on Smalltown America Records on ice-white vinyl and digital formats.
