Lizbet Sempa is a an emerging talented singer/songwriter/piano player based in London. She started playing piano at the age of 7 and wrote her first song last year at the age of 17.
‘Epiphany’ is the first in a series of stripped down video releases which help to highlight Lizbet’s simple yet beautiful vocal/piano delivery we have been given the premiere watch it below. With some very exciting live dates in the calendar, a full debut EP in production and this series of video releases already in the can expect to be seeing and hearing much more of this talented young lady.
Her song writing takes inspiration from soul legends Marvin Gaye and Erykah Badu, with a subtle taste of Jamoriquai and The Killers. Her voice is both soft and assertive and her songs are carried along by expressive melodies and haunting piano chords that leave you with a sweet and melancholic taste in your mouth.
Lizbet gained the attention of Zap Records in February 2013 and it didn’t take long before she was added to the Soundclouder of the day list which in-turn caused a massive increase in her Soundcloud followers which is currently stands at more than half a million!
