The BBC’s Sound of 2014 longlist revealed

The BBC today unveiled the longlist for its annual poll of artists tipped to make waves in 2014. The Sound of 2014 list, which was put together by a panel of DJs, music critics, bloggers and broadcasters, promises to showcase 15 of the “best and brightest” rising stars. From “grizzly folk-pop” singer George Ezra, Electro pop Londoner Chloe Howl to twin sisters Elektra and Miranda Kilbey of the pop duo Say Lou Lou.The 15-act longlist will be whittled down to five in January, with the winner announced by Nick Grimshaw on the BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show on January 10.
