Bummer Album of the Week: James Blunt – Moon Landing

James Blunt disturbs me a little. His material prompts me to ponder how small the gap might be between Coldplay and X-Factor, for that’s where he sits himself. His latest album is called ‘Moon Landing’ and is another set of neatly written and executed pop songs. Nothing fundamentally wrong with them either, just that there’s nothing remotely inspiring about it. The word blunt can be directly interpreted as point-less and that cap somehow fits, for this set of pretty songs is indeed pretty pointless – Bummer Album of the Week.
