It was only a few weeks ago that I was stirred from my self-imposed writing sabbatical to make my one and only personal tip for 2014, that being Leeds based The Witch Hunt.
They’ve repaid my faith in full with the video release of this live version of ‘Wide and Laughing’. Atmospherically filmed in Holy Trinity Church in Leeds, the live take chimes and glitters with the writhing mesmerising magic of a snake charmer.
The track is from their recent ‘Little Book of Hate’ EP, which itself is pretty remarkable for being as wide ranging as it is consistent. You can get a free download of ‘Wide and Laughing’ via their facebook page (the usual deal – free track in return for a ‘like’, which seems fair enough)
