We first saw MØ at SXSW back in March, and were pretty damn impressed. But there again, we were with a large handful of acts that week. So it was a bit of a shock to check back in a few weeks ago, prodded by the ‘Bikini Daze’ EP and realise just have damn far the girl has come.
Wowzahs, it actually sent me into a scurry of running to earth likely tracks for her debut album, slated for release in March. Check out her YouTube channel over HERE, and don’t leave without clocking ‘Waste Of Time’ and here Diplo collaboration ‘XXX 88’.
Which makes it very timely indeed that MØ has just unveiled the video for ‘Don’t Wanna Dance’, which we’ve gotta say is the most poppy and boppy and bouncy of all the tracks we’ve heard so far, reining in the snot we’ve seen elsewhere. Filmed lovingly in a scrapyard ..of course, where else? She’s gigging in the UK in early March – London, Leeds, Glasgow, Manchester – so we’ll see you in the front row somewhere
