Bestival, the creative fusion of curator Rob da Bank and wife Josie once again brings another ridiculously eclectic mix of acts to the leafy Robin Hill Country Park on the Isle of Wight for 2014. With a stream of UK Festival Awards spanning their previous years it’s no wonder this boutique festival keeps drawing the big name acts to it’s island escape. bestival Taking place from the 4 –  7th September, with this year’s theme “Desert Island Disco” and with numerous acts already confirmed it’s shaping up to be another glorious year. Over the course of the weekend there will be performances from OUTKAST,  FOALS, BECK, BUSTA RHYMES, DISCLOSURE, PALOMA FAITH, BASEMENT JAXX, MAJOR LAZER, LONDON GRAMMAR, SAM SMITH, CANDI STATON, WILD BEASTS, CLEAN BANDIT, BONOBO, CARIBOU, SBTRKT, CHVRCHES, LAURA MVULA, BIZARRE RIDE LIVE FEATURING FATLIP & SLIMKID3 FORMERLY OF THE PHARCYDE, DARKSIDE, TEMPLES, DAN LE SAC VS SCROOBIUS PIP, THE 2 BEARS (LIVE), PETER HOOK AND THE LIGHT, MNEK, CATE LE BON, NICK MULVEY, KIESZA, DENAI MOORE, PUBLIC SERVICE BROADCASTING, RADIOPHONIC WORKSHOP, ADY SULEIMAN. chic bestival The weekend will culminate on the Sunday night with the Desert Island Disco Finale with none other than CHIC FEATURING NILE RODGERS. Organiser Rob da Bank says “Ever since I first booked Chic and Nile for Bestival a few years back they have hands down been the best live band we’ve ever had at Bestival and Camp Bestival. And once people start realising how many hits Nile has written and produced for artists ranging from Madonna and David Bowie through to Daft Punk’s Get Lucky you realise this is just one huge disco jukebox that is gonna keep firing out the hits all night! I’m over the moon that Nile and the crew are going to wrap up our Desert Island Disco Finale with a damn funky, glittery bang. Everybody Dance!”.
