The Paranoid Style‘s twin guitar volleys and roller coaster rhythms teeter between frustration and hysteria, they sound a bit like the tuneful whip smart, clever, post- punk of early Blondieor the knowing almost 50s bittersweet see sawing guitar assaults of Alvvays.
With a band featuring guitarist Bruce Bennett of venerable garage rock anti-heroes the A-Bones, Timothy Bracy of the Mendoza Line, and Will Rigby of the legendary dB’s, and abetted by the crackerjack production of Brian Paulson (Wilco, Superchunk) Nelson chronicles the daily crises of modern morality.
