Mancunian indie veterans James will co-headline the final night of this year’s Festival No.6. Jim Glennie, the band’s bassist and longest serving member, was clear about his excitement: “I love Portmeirion and I can’t believe we are going to play a gig there. The festival looks amazing. Can’t wait.”

Collaborating with Gaz Coombes, Edwyn Collins, Jane Weaver and Rae Morris, No.6 Composer-in-Residence Joe Duddell, will be returning to present another series of exclusive and intimate Town Hall Sessions in the beautiful surroundings of the Portmeirion Town Hall.

There will also be a sneak preview of the new Kill Your Friends movie, John Niven‘s dark remorseless look at the music business at the height of Britpop. The author will be in conversation with literary legend Irvine Welsh, the director Owen Harris and producers Will Clarke and Gregor Cameron as they explore the story and its screen adaptation.

World-renowned New York hip-hop producer Arthur Baker will be headlining the Virgin Village Limits stage in the woods with its famous floating dance floor; and Bugged Out! with with Justin Robertson, James Holroyd and Rob Bright will be celebrating 20 years of the Electric Chair in The Castell Gardens, one of the site’s more impressive areas.

And if this isn’t enough to whet your appetite, keep your eyes on the news for the announcements of world famous chefs cooking up a feast at this year’s party.
