NEWS: Wilderness Festival reveals its first acts for 2016

Location: Cornbury Park, Oxfordshire
Dates: 4th – 7th August 2016

Returning for its sixth annual outing, the multi-award winning, four day Wilderness Festival has just announced this year’s first wave of artists. At the top of the bill with two UK exclusive performances will be Robert Plant and The Flaming Lips. The former Led Zeppelin frontman will be bringing his Sensational Shape Shifters to Cornbury Park on their only UK date of their 2016 tour, whilst those Oklahoman psychedelic rockers The Flaming Lips will be performing their 1999 breakthrough album The Soft Bulletin in its entirety.

Other musical acts who have been announced to appear in the beautiful surroundings of the Oxfordshire countryside include the British/Spanish synth-folk outfit Crystal Fighters, the Austrian musician, producer and DJ, Parov Stelar, sultry soul-jazz songstress Lianne La Havas, and celebrated drum’n’bass supremo Goldie who along with Heritage Orchestra will be performing the album Timeless.

Wilderness’s reputation has been built firmly on its ability to combine live music with a wide range of amazing contemporary arts and stunning culinary experiences. This year the long-table banquets are hosted by three incredible international chefs, Virgilio Martinez, Skye Gyngel, and returning for the second year running, Raymond Blanc.
