Track Of The Day #802: Fable – Human Pretending

Fable, who was included in our Sound of 2016, is back.  This time, the incredibly talented 20-year-old has teamed up with Orbital‘s Paul Hartnoll – the alleged Godfather of dance – to create ‘Human Pretending’.  With Spring lurking just around the corner (fingers crossed), this makes the perfect prelude to warmer weather.  Think of it as a not-quite-so-gentle shake towards the all-important Summer.  In fact, I’d go as far as to say that this could well end up being a Spring/Summer hit of 2016.

It also once again showcases just what we loved about Fable in the first place.  Interestingly, the track was intended as a leftfield entry to this year’s Eurovision contest but was refused on the grounds of being a little too “out there.”  We can quietly grumble about this as well as shake off the rebuff as a collective by dancing to this gem of a tune.
