NEWS: Deer Shed Festival reveals more additions to its 2016 line-up

Date: 22nd July – 24th July 2016~
Location: Baldersby Park, Topcliffe, North Yorkshire

Building even further on the runaway sell-out success of last year, Deer Shed Festival has just announced a raft of new names for this year’s event. Joining Everything Everything and Beth Orton at the top of the bill will be Richard Hawley. The celebrated Sheffield tunesmith will provide the centrepiece of this year’s festival as he closes out Saturday night.

Other brilliant additions to the line-up for 2016 include the twice Mercury Prize and BRIT Award nominee Anna Calvi, one of the founding members of The Beta Band, Steve Mason, who will be making a most welcome return to Baldersby Park after his fabulous performance there two years ago, Blackpool’s very own pop star, Rae Morris, and Manchester’s rapidly emerging talent LoneLady.

Also scheduled to play at Deer Shed Festival come the fourth weekend in July are the consistently wonderful Bella Union recording artists Lanterns On The Lake, Emma Pollock, once of the much revered Scots indie band The Delgados, and adding an international flavour to this year’s event will be the London-based cross-European group Cristobal and the Sea.

BBC Radio 6 Music DJ Marc Riley will be compering Saturday Night’s mainstage before his 90-minute DJ slot later that evening, whilst nine-time winner of the Gold Sony Award, Andy Kershaw, is also returning to Deer Shed Festival this year with his African, Caribbean and Latin Dance Night.
