Track Of The Day #808: Sink Alaska – I Am A Legend/I Am A Robot

Sometimes you need a little gentle nudge in the mornings – something chilled to ease you into another day.  Then again, sometimes you need something to shock your system and wake you up as quickly as possible.  Glasgow’s “melodic punk” outfit Sink Alaska handle the latter situation very well, as heard in the opening track to their new four-track EP Battle Lines From Better Times.  Sink Alaska formed in 2013, and, judging by this outstanding release, they’ll do incredible things in years and months to come.

Lucky for all of us, the EP is out now, so you don’t have to wait to enjoy this loud and super confident punkish noise with a little hint of indie, as well as a healthy scoop of pop.  Sink Alaska have it all, if ‘I Am A Legend/I Am A Robot’ is anything to go by.
