Imagine driving around with the top down in the afternoon sun, sunglasses on and the wind blowing in your hair. Such an excursion requires just the right soundtrack. None of the chart-busting ‘club classics’ for us. No, what this scenario needs is something different, something other, something very cool, and WE-ARE-Z‘s new single ‘Easy’, released tomorrow (22nd April) is the perfect fit.
It begins with woozy sounds and then smooth vocals kick in with little fuss. Quite frankly, ‘Easy’ oozes with cool, breezy, fuzzy melodies throughout. There’s a hint of drunk swagger to it which makes a lot of sense considering WE-ARE-Z, by their own admission, create whilst under the influence of alcohol; the track itself was written about “the insane addiction to, and sweetly tormented lust, for ever increasingly adrenaline fuelled travel adventures.” Enjoy this laid-back tune, with wine in hand, and plan the perfect summer road trip.
