Father John Misty‘s show at Nottingham’s Rock City on Sunday was a truly remarkable one.  One of the most intense performers of our time and sharp-witted with it, and luckily our effervescent photographer, Paul Reno, was there with me to capture it in all its glory.

Misty, better known as Josh Tillman, perhaps, gave one of the most passionate performances imaginable. With chiselled features that fall somewhere between Jim Morrison and Dennis Wilson, Tillman cut a Christ-like figure at times, and his onstage movements with guitar were so sultry that you could have likened them to the women in Robert Palmer‘s ‘Addicted To Love‘ video. This was a show that oozed sex, and he knew it.
