NEWS: Canadian alt-rockers Weaves are streaming their debut album

On Friday, self-styled “bent pop” band Weaves are releasing their self-titled debut album via Memphis Industries.  For those who would like a sneak preview of the LP though, the Canadians have made the entire record available to stream through their SoundCloud page.

The LP has been tracked by Leon Taheny (who has also worked with Dilly Dally and Owen Pallett), mixed by Alex Newport (who has helped with production for Death Cab for Cutie and At the Drive-In) and mastered by Death Grips collaborator John Greenham.  As well as featuring the singles ‘Tick’ and ‘Candy,’ the album features nine more tracks that shows off the Canadians’ genre-bending mind-set and their flair for creating ramshackle but infectious slices of garage rock.  Listen below.
