NEWS: East End Film Festival world premiere of Cassette will feature Lou Ottens and Thurston Moore

This month’s East End Film Festival is premiering Zach Taylor’s new music documentary Cassette tonight.  The film explores the role of the revolutionary format and its proliferation within pop culture.  It features a number of musical icons, including Henry Rollins, Fugazi’s Ian MacKaye and Sonic Youth’s Thurston Moore.  A number of young, up and coming bands also appear to give their opinion on the format, which has enjoyed a resurgence in the past couple of years.

The premiere will also feature a Q&A session with Taylor and the inventor of the cassette, Lou Ottens.   Thurston Moore will be making a very special appearance to talk about the DIY film and his career.

Tickets are on sale for tonight’s event via Genesis Cinema.
