NEWS: Flamingods debut video for ‘Taboo Groves’

Five-piece multi-instrumental band Flamingods recently released their brand new album Majesty.  Amongst its many gems, one of the standout tracks was ‘Taboo Groves.’  Now, the psychedelic pop song has been given a spiritual video, courtesy of directors Elliott Arndt and Laura Little.  Filmed on the south coast, the video is inspired by an old building in Devon often referred to as “the most haunted place in the UK.”  The directors decided to use the tale of the owners holding a pagan burial for the building’s staircase as the inspiration for the video.

Arndt described the concept behind the clip:  “As soon as I heard the track I had this feeling of a large group of friends and freaks together creating a magical and spiritual scene.  The staircase represents ascension, illumination, and the burial contrasts with it because of its very nature, death and grounding.”  Watch the video below.

Flamingods are playing a number of festival dates in the UK between June and the end of September, including End of the Road, Green Man and Latitude.  For further details, visit their Facebook page.
