Track Of The Day #882: Pathos, Pathos – Summer Nights

Pathos, Pathos‘ new single ‘Summer Nights’ sounds exactly like what you want summer nights to sound like: there’s a bit where they shout and you want to punch the air, the chorus goes all lovelorn and falsetto, there are quiet bits where the sun sort of dapples through the leaves of the trees and you fall in love with everyone who walks past.

It’s a genuinely lovely thing, an uptempo jangle through the verse catching the ear and surging to that blissed-out chorus.  It’s like if Bombay Bicycle Club spent all their time lying on their backs in the middle of the park; it’s a good thing.
