NEWS: Vibracathedral Orchestra, The Cush, The Ex and more to play Supernormal 2

NEWS: MDC, JK Flesh and more added to final Supernormal 2016 line-up

Dates: 5th-7th August
Where: Braziers Park, Oxfordshire

It’s a little less than a month before Supernormal returns to the Oxfordshire countryside to host the best in experimental music and arts.  Long-form improvisational group Vibracathedral Orchestra, Texans The Cush, Dutch institution The Ex, off-kilter poppers Bas Jan and many more had already been announced for the three-day event.  Now the bill has been completed by a final wave of diverse acts.

Punk legends MDC (Millions of Dead Cops) will be playing their inflammatory noise to Friday night, while beatmasters JK Flesh (led by the legendary Justin Broadrick of Napalm Death, Techno Animal and more) are set to weave their dystopian visions.  Psychedelic icons Ashtray Navigations and hedonists Gum Takes Tooth have also been added, while ethereal harp-wielder Aine O’Dwyer will be entrancing the audience.  Leeds-based one-man band Girl Sweat, face-melting rockers Guttersnipe, miserablists The Lowest Form and physical guitar player Arvind Ganga will also be performing.  Sets from City Hands, Dwellings and Christos Fanaras have also been confirmed.

The organisers have also confirmed the commissions for their new interdisciplinary space The Vortex.  It’s set to feature everything from talks to film soundtracks, collaborative pieces to workshops.  Highlights include commissions from Club Des Femmes, Film Material and Medea, featuring Bas Jan’s Serafina Steer and The Lone Taxidermist.

Tickets and more information can be found on the Supernormal website.
