NEWS: La Femme to release new album ‘Mystère’ in September

After breaking through with their debut album Psycho Tropical Berlin in 2013, Parisian krautrock and psych-punk outfit La Femme are set to return with a new album this year.  Mystère is set to be released on 2nd September via Disque Pointu, and will feature a wide range of guest vocalists as well as production from Sonny Dipieri of Animal Collective.  The record promises to be even more psychedelic than their first LP, with a focus on stark electro beats.

The band have already shared two songs from the collection already.  ‘Sphynx’ is a hypnotic mix of pulsating beats and light synths with some typically French chanson vocals, while ‘Ou Va Le Monde’ is a quirky number whose melodies take inspiration from The Shadows and Ennio Morricone.  Watch the video for ‘Sphynx’ below.

La Femme are playing at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire on 17th November and they play at Secret Garden Party this weekend.
