NEWS: Warpaint announce new LP ‘Heads Up,’ share ‘New Song’

Last week, indie-fuzz quartet Warpaint unveiled a mysterious video that teased a new track through the power of Shazam. People could use the music recognition app to find out that the track playing in the background was ‘New Song’ by the band. Now it’s been revealed that the song really is called ‘New Song’ instead of it being just a working title, and it’s included on their brand new album, Heads Up.

The record will be released on 23rd September via Rough Trade. Drummer Stella Mozgawa said: “The doors were a little more open in terms of what was accepted and what wasn’t, because we were sharing ideas so rapidly between us.” A change in tone is evident in the full version of ‘New Song,’ which moves away from the soft fuzz and haziness of their last, self-titled album.
