Here is a quote from frontman/songwriter Brett Sullivan about this track:

“There is some sense of unity in contradictions. There can be no good without bad, there can be no up without down, or rich without poor. This song is about how easily it is to live in the U.S. and pretend you not a part of the world’s problems. Most people think if you love your family, generally respect nature and have a positive outlook on life, you are not part of the the crisis that humanity if facing. There are problems though, and the U.S. is leading the nations of the world in a competition to destroy the planet, to lock out the hungry fleeing from war, and econonically dominate all,” explains Brett Sullivan.

“Most average Americans are hard working, honest, caring people who would love to take a day and spend it with their family at the beach. They ask “how can I be part of this problem?” and answer “It can’t be me; I don’t feel guilty”.  They ask “Are you trying to tell me, that there is something wrong with the beach and the sun, and me and my mum?”
