NEWS: TOY announce new album ‘Clear Shot’

Psych rockers TOY have announced that their new album Clear Shot will be released on 26th October via Heavenly Recordings.  Taking inspiration from everything from the Radiophonic Workshop to composers like John Barry and even acid house, the album is still reportedly the group’s most focused work to date.  It’s been mixed by Chris Coady, who’s previously worked with Beach House, Smith Westerns and Yeah Yeah Yeahs, with some of the reverbs and vocal processors used on Prince’s Purple Rain.

To coincide with the announcement, the band have shared Clear Shot’s first single, ‘Fast Silver.’  It’s a six-minute, fuzzy, psych wig-out that takes its time to develop into a hypnotic swirl of guitars and light electronics.  Listen below.

The band are also heading out on an extensive UK tour later in the year.  Details below.
