NEWS: Kate Jackson unveils video for ‘Homeward Bound’

Former frontwoman of The Long Blondes Kate Jackson released her long-awaited solo album British Road Movies earlier this year on her own label, Hoo Ha Records.  The record was written alongside Bernard Butler (of Suede and The Tears), with each song envisioned as a cinematic starting point, paying homage to the neglected genre of the eponymous British road movie.

As such, the new video for ‘Homeward Bound,’ created by visual artist Lloyd Evans, explicitly denotes the theme of travel.  Made by Lloyd while he was driving and walking along the A12, Lloyd’s clip is simply the view along the road, with a couple of the environments being superimposed upon one another as they swoop by.  The rural landscapes show off the beauty of the British countryside, and give that sense of a comforting homecoming.  Watch below.

Jackson is today heading out on an extensive UK tour, starting in Leicester tonight.  Details below.
