NEWS: Vanishing Twin reveal new video for ‘Vanishing Twin Syndrome’

Vanishing Twin – formerly known as Orlando – are set to release their debut album Choose Your Own Adventure on 16th September via Soundway Records.  Formed by Cathy Lucas of Innerspace Orchestra and Fanfarlo, the band combine arkestral sounds with English pop.  Having already unveiled a first track from the record, ‘The Conservation of Life,’ the group revealed a second song, ‘Vanishing Twin Syndrome,’ which now has a brand new video.

While the track itself mixes contemplative vocals with exotic, percussion-heavy psychedelia, the accompanying clip directed by Elliott Arndt attempts to capture this off-kilter approach with a series of increasingly surreal and hypnotic images.  There’s a number of people dancing in abstract masks, some retro effects and even a rotating frog that appears to be having quite a bit of fun.  Watch below.

If you have about an hour to spare, the band have also shared a new mix that tells the band’s musical journey.  There’s some bizarre material in there, but also a lot of jazz and a mixture of Western and Eastern music.  Listen below.
