NEWS: Massa Confusa to release new album ‘Two Man Machine’ in November

After a string of DIY releases and one-off tracks, prolific Durham-based post-punk duo Massa Confusa are finally gearing up to release their second album Two Man Machine on 19th November.  The pair have been busy recently putting on their own series of do-it-yourself Massa Confusa Presents gigs, helping to showcase similarly-minded bands from the region and a little further afield.  That even led to a second compilation album earlier in the year.

But for the long-awaited follow-up to their debut album a couple of years ago, the band are combining a number of new tracks with some of the singles they’ve put out in recent years.  Recent single ‘Descension’ features, alongside opening highlight ‘Dark World.’  It’s further development of the rough but refined, sometimes pitch-black attitude towards post-punk that the pair have developed, with motorik rhythms and occasional jagged synth edges.

The collection will come out digitally and as a limited edition handmade CD run.  There’s also a special launch gig taking place at Nemix Rehearsal Studios in Newcastle on 19th November, alongside vegan queer punks Jesus and His Judgemental Father, punk trio Kinky and Pale Kids.
