NEWS: Bayonne shares new video for ‘Living Room’

Austin-based producer Roger Sellers – better known under the moniker of Bayonne – recently is due to release his debut album Primitives on 4th November and, having already shared ‘Spectrolite’ and ‘Appeals,’ is continuing to preview the LP with a new clip for ‘Living Room.’  Directed by Man Mantis, the clip has the slightly DIY feel of Bayonne’s previous videos, and invites the viewer to enter a psychedelic, animated living room where the furniture comes to life before transforming into a crystalline wonderland.  It mirrors the upbeat sense of wonderment created by the percussion-heavy track itself.

Bayonne himself said: “Living Room’ sounds different than anything else I’ve released… it’s much more sporatic and wild. I wanted the video to be different as well and I love the way the animation makes it feel so playful, bizarre, and cartoonish.”  Meanwhile, Mantis added: “I wanted to match the really joyful energy of Roger’s performances, and sending an end table on a psychedelic, retro-video-game-like adventure seemed like a fun way to do that.  Fortunately he agreed.”  Watch below.

Bayonne is also playing two dates in the UK this month.  Details below.

20th October – Shacklewell Arms, London
22nd October – Simple Things, Bristol
