NEWS: The xx to release new album ‘I See You’ in January

Acclaimed electronic trio The xx have announced that their follow up to Coexist will be coming out on 13th January 2017 via Young Turks.  I See You was made over the course of two years in New York, Texas, Reykjavik, Los Angeles and London and promises to provide a more expansive, outward-looking approach to their usually introspective sound.  The band said: “We know these are uncertain times and we hope the joy & love we found making the record will get out into the world, in however small a way.

The announcement has been accompanied by a brand new single called ‘On Hold.’  It’s probably one of the most upbeat songs the trio have ever released.  It samples Hall & Oates’ hit ‘I Can’t Go For That (No Can Do)’ and could be their poppiest moment to date.  Listen below.
