NEWS: WHY? announce new album ‘Moh Lhean’

Semi-experimental psychedelic hip hop producers WHY?, will release their sixth album Moh Lhean on 3rd March via Joyful Noise Recordings.  The follow-up to 2012’s Mumps, Etc is the first of mastermind Yani Wolf’s albums to be mainly produced in his own studio since his 2003 debut LP, and has been co-produced by his brother Josiah.  Promising to be filled with fluid arrangements, it follows a health scare suffered by Wolf, and even samples some of his doctors.

WHY? has also shared an album trailer, an animated clip that depicts a man apparently drowning out at sea, against a wallpaper background.  Occasionally surreal drawings explode across the screen, depicting skulls, strange puppets and more.  The trailer also features an instrumental snippet from the album’s opening track ‘This Ole King.’  The song features blissful acoustic guitars alongside some kaleidoscopic, swooping electronica, and is a peek into the cosmic world promised by the rest of Moh Lhean.  Watch the trailer below.
