Track Of The Day #965: Be Charlotte – One Drop

Combining pop, hip-hop, spoken word, and electronic with a definite alternative twist, Scots trio Be Charlotte have crafted something quite extraordinary.  Their latest track ‘One Drop’ showcases their creative flair in the best way.  Inspired by the sense of being unable to clearly see what’s in front of you, capturing the idea that, once something is done, it can’t be changed – and ultimately, the way we deal with the situation, finding solutions along the way, is more important than the problem itself – it quickly grows from that single drop and ends up in a glorious cascade of sounds, made up of layer upon layer of a variety of elements that on their own may not amount to much, but together make something remarkable.

Already set for an appearance at SXSW and The Great Escape festivals this year, as well as a string of dates around Europe and the UK January and February, Be Charlotte will be one act you’ll want to keep a close eye and ear on.  Hear more on SoundCloud

‘One Drop’ is released 20th January on AWAL/Kobalt Label Service.
