Video Of The Week #26: Faux – Hot Headed

Bright melodies and crisp, clear vocals, ‘Hot Headed’ from Southampton four-piece Faux encapsulates everything that Spring should be: positive, colourful, and warm.  Instead, so far we’ve seen high winds, heavy rain, hail, and even snow and we’re a mere two days into Spring itself.

The video is pretty typical of British guitar bands, based around a performance – this one set in the somewhat odd setting of Salisbury Cathedral (not quite sure what that says about them!) – but it’s a pleasant setting for a brilliant pop song.  About the track itself, singer Lee Male explains, “‘Hot Headed’ combines our love of intricate musicianship and pop melodies; lyrically it explores the struggle of big personalities in small tight friendship groups.”

So it’s at odds with reality, but that doesn’t mean we can’t pretend from the comfort of our home and offices, right?
