After sharing lead single Silver from her upcoming 4th album, Out in the Storm, Katie Crutchfield’s project Waxahatchee teases the album further with Never Been Wrong, a noisey indie-pop track that establishes a change in Crutchfield’s approach to songwriting. “A running theme on the album is accepting your own imperfections that you’ve been trying really hard to hide,” she states. “Being straightforward has always been more natural for me, and it was incredibly cathartic,” Crutchfield continues, elucidating her decision to explore a more vulnerable side to the project.
Out in the Storm is Crutchfield’s second full length album for Merge Records as Waxahatchee and is set to be released 14th July on limited edition deluxe 2-LP and CD with an exclusive postcard set. Waxahatchee will be on tour throughout the UK and Europe from 1st September 2017.
