NEWS: Golden Fable reveal epic new single ‘Trust’

Golden Fable release their new album Alchemy on the 14th June, it’s their most ambitious album to date, they’ve made it alongside this 11-piece Welsh orchestra featuring members of NEW Sinfonia. Today we unveil their new single ‘Trust‘ below. Elegant and grand, it possesses an epic scope that marries strings, with electronic undercurrents, while Rebecca Joy’s graceful vocals grasp for hope in the darkness. It swells to a dramatic crescendo of the kind Sigur Ros specialise in. Here’s what she says about the track:

The lyrics in Trust document a loss of control and a difficult journey in a medical setting. The main sentiment behind the combination of words and instruments is that of hope no matter what the circumstances.”

Golden Fable is a North Wales trio consisting of Rebecca Joy, Tim Joy and Jonathan Guy. On the 14th June 2019, they release their fourth album Alchemy via Full of Joy Records.

Alchemy is aptly named given it’s a magical process of transformation, creation and combination. The new album follows Golden Fable’s critically acclaimed records In The Aerie (2017), Ancient Blue(2014) and Star Map (2012), and whilst it encompasses all that is bewitching about the previous releases – namely Rebecca’s souring and haunting vocal and the layered and textured soundscapes multi-instrumentalists Tim and Jonathan weave – Alchemy stands apart. It is undoubtedly Golden Fable’s most ambitious works to date.

Lyrically, the broad theme of the album is the passage of time and the impact it has on us all. As Tim expands: “It is about how our priorities change, whether we realise it or not, and how some things that used to be of utmost significance can become irrelevant, consciously or otherwise. It is about staying true to yourself and remembering the moments that define you.”
