Preaching from the Pews: Fast Blood

Preaching from the Pews: Fast Blood

Comprised of stalwarts of the Newcastle DIY scene, Fast Blood played their first ever gig in April this year opening for Durham pop-punk mainstays Martha at the sold-out release party for their new album ’Love Keeps Kicking’.

Fast Blood have since shared the stage with the likes of Jeffrey Lewis. The band are overjoyed at the prospect of opening for the incredible Mannequin Pussy  (Epitaph records) and Cocaine Piss in November.

Inaugural single ‘You’ recalls the likes of Pretty Girls Make Graves, Fucked Up and Hot Snakes.  The band’s sound comprises of fast-paced, urgent, energetic punk rock with nods to 90’s midwestern indie/emo, hardcore and garage punk. Abi’s vocals are uplifting, ultra-melodic and full of hooks; as she belts out honest, authentic, self-examining lyrics.

‘You’ is released on all major streaming platforms on Friday 8th November.

FAST BLOOD will be playing the following dates in support of ‘YOU’:

  • 13th November, 2019 – MANCHESTER (Soup Kitchen) w/ MANNEQUIN PUSSY, COCAINE PISS
  • 15th November, 2019 – MIDDLESBOROUGH (Westgarth Social Club) w/ MANNEQUIN PUSSY, MOUSES
