Forté Project today announces the launch of a new talent development project aimed at supporting six young Wales-based acts in their early musical careers.

The six month long programme will offer professional industry support to acts between the ages of 16-25, designed to progress their early careers. Supported by the PRS Foundation and Arts Council of Wales the project can for the first time to expand beyond its original South Wales regions to cover all of Wales.

The project also aims to uncover new voices that are currently underrepresented in the music scene.

Over the dedicated six months Forté Project will offer the chosen six acts bespoke artistic and personal development support via a series of online industry masterclasses, 1-2-1 mentoring, career & business guidance plus professional well-being support.

Previous Forté Project artists include Sonny Winnebago, HANA2K and CHROMA.

Applications for the project open Monday 9 November via the website and close Sunday 29th November.

Alongside this news Forté Project is also proud to announce the development of Beacons, a new digital platform for young musicians and creatives in Wales. Beacons will now work towards establishing an online resource for all young people across Wales who are interested in working in the music and creative industries.
