EXCLUSIVE: Kids Love Surf reveal dreamy escape of ‘Moment’

Kids Love Surf are a mysterious collaborative project from St Leonards on Sea, Hastings, today we are unveiling their new single ‘Moment’ listen below. With a dreamy tapestry of electronica, gazey guitars,  rippling bass lines and bubbling beats residing with melody that holds onto hope, there are distant echoes of New Order or the Cure, Kids Love Surf offer an escape from lockdown on a rainy day.

Endeavouring to continually work with different singers while trying to to angle their jangle in people’s faces.
They describe their sound as ‘inspired by the bottom of the top of a cloud. Dreampop or darkpop’.  They were brought together by the 2020 COVID-19 lockdown and decided to make tunes while they had the time. They have been collaborating remotely from March 2020 onwards combining their love of all things dreampop. The first single ‘OYO’ was championed by BBC Introducing South and the band have now followed that track up with ‘Moment’.

Live is a problem for everyone at the moment but in an ideal world they will be out gigging in late 2021. A November tour is now in the planning stage as well as a follow up to the current single.
