NEWS: Lunar Vacation share cover of Wham!’s ‘Last Christmas’ & 2022 Tour dates

Lunar Vacation have shared their charmingly wonky and fuzzed out take on Wham!’s classic Christmas single ‘Last Christmas’. Released earlier this year, the band’s brilliant debut album Inside Every Fig is a Dead Wasp will be available on vinyl, CD, and cassette in record stores worldwide this Friday, December 10th.

Lunar Vacation will begin 2022 with a full North American run supporting The Beths, followed by European dates and a coveted slot at The Great Escape in Brighton. Details for all live shows are below.

Ahead of Inside…, the band released four singles: ‘Mold‘, a memorable and psychedelic display directed by Rach Rios Rehm, ‘Shrug‘, a jubilant testament to sloughing off binary constructs, ‘Gears‘, a Nosferatu-inspired film noir, and ‘Where Is Everyone?’, a gentle dissection of a relationship deteriorating.

Grace Repasky (songwriter / vocalist / guitarist) and Maggie Geeslin (songwriter / vocalist / guitarist) met in the eighth grade and immediately began sharing their own music. By the time they were old enough to drive, Lunar Vacation was born. The pair forged demo after demo, took to as many stages as Atlanta could offer them, and added Matteo DeLurgio (synth) and Connor Dowd (drums) to sonically match their songs’ increasingly vibrant spirit. Shortly after graduating high school, Lunar Vacation self-released two EPs — Swell and Artificial Flavors — which landed them quick critical attention, millions of organic streams, and support runs for Remo Drive, Sidney Gish, and SALES.
